As always... OCS delivered my package before I expected, as well as delivered the correct part! I have re-foamed a set of Cerwin Vega D-9's, D-5's, CV down-firing passive sub along with 2 sets of Infinity RS bookshelves; all using OCS's kits. They have work beautifully and I will continue OCS to bring old dusty speakers back to life. Thanks Orange County Speaker!!!

5 out of 55 out of 55 out of 55 out of 55 out of 5 Excellent for Repairing your Stock Speakers (4.21.2012)
Reviewer: J.L. Porrello (Green Valley, AZ)
I was given a pair of Infinity RS 2001 speakers. The surrounds on the speakers were almost completely rotted away. A new replacement set of speakers from Infinity cost over $95 a pair and were just that, replacements, not the original speakers. As the cabinet/crossover was specifically designed for the original pair, I decided to try and repair them myself with the repair kit from SpeakerRepair.com. The kit arrived in a timely manner with clear instructions on how to proceed. The hardest part is getting all traces of the old surrounds off the cone and basket. Glueing the new surrounds in place is simple, although I did make kind of a mess with the glue. This is obviously the type of operation that one would perfect with time, but the first time out it is difficult to make a "professional looking" job. Although the glue got onto the flexible part of the surrounds (the part that flexes with speaker movement) they seem to work and sound fine. I hope this glue slop does not cause cracked surrounds down the road. All in all, I highly recommend using this kit to repair your speakers. Just really think about the glue application BEFORE applying to get the best results. Practice makes perfect. The glue tacks up almost immediately, so be careful!

My 20 year-old speakers sound like new again. The glue application is a little messy, and disassembling can be tricky and sticky as well, but overall the kit does as advertised. Very happy sounds.

My Dad recently passed and I inherited a set of Infinity Reference Ones which had deteriorated in the last few years that he's been unable to use his beloved stereo equipment. I found the foam surrounds of the woofers just turned to dust at a mere touch and started to look around for replacement drivers. Then found Orange County Speaker. I've never tried to refoam a set of speakers and wondered if the "propaganda" was true. Folks, it truly is. I followed the simple directions and used the supplied materials and these Infinitys sound absolutely superb. Hooked 'em up to my Sumo Electra preamp controlling a Denon POA-2200 and just stood there grinning. Fabulous sound! I'm convinced Dad had to have heard these puppies and is grinning from ear to ear as well. Great service, fast shipping, great prices, can't say enough about Orange County Speaker. I just wish someone hadn't replaced all the drivers in his old Altec-Lansings (circa 1960 or so) Bet they'd sound like brand new too, if I just had those original drivers... THANKS OCS!

    Reviewer: Mark D. (Enfield, CT)
The foam re-edge repair kit worked as advertisee. By following the clear cut directions it made the repair very simple with excellent results. I would definitely recommend to others or preform this repair again on other speakers as needed. Tip I used a pencil eraser (lightly) on top and my finger on the bottom to set the foam to the glued speaker cone.
