5 out of 55 out of 55 out of 55 out of 55 out of 5 Repaired my original BMW OEM speakers (7.28.2014)
    Reviewer: Dave s.
This did the trick for my BMW 4 ohm OEM speakers which just disintegrated over the 12 years of use, heat and cold. I couldn't find replacement speakers that matched the original speaker specs (rear speakers), so I gave OC Speakers repair kit a try. It worked as advertised with the exception that the hard cardboard gaskets were not applicable to these speakers, but not a problem, they were not needed. speakers now sound like new. Great idea to just repair them, it's the foam that breaks down with the rest of the speaker system being fully functional.

5 out of 55 out of 55 out of 55 out of 55 out of 5 Great solution for GK 250 ML disintegrated surrounds (4.13.2014)

Also my first speaker re-edge. Kit shipped very promptly. Clear directions. Hardest parts by far were taking the speakers out of the amp- about 40 screws and bolts in a tight fitting chassis. Be sure to segregate the screws with the panel and grilles you remove. Next hardest part is removing the original surround and gasket. Used a utility razor. Always point away from you, and take your time. Last part is gluing and centering the surrounds. Directions were very good and should be followed exactly- glue to the cone first then wait 24 hours before gluing in the outside edge and then the gasket. It will not work to try gluing both edges at once and I am sure you would risk a misalignment then a VC buzz. Per a website suggestion, I used a medium volume 70 hz signal (from a signal generator but computers can generate it too) to make sure no voice coil buzz. All in all a long project due to the amp, not the kit-- but it was well worth preserving the original speakers from this 80s vintage lunch box amp.- They are 16 ohm so hard to find. Thanks!

I forgot what they originally sounded like. Amazing...again. Was looking for replacement speakers and stumbled onto this product. For about $40 total, I gave it a try. It's nothing to get the speakers out, and just a little work to clean them off for the gluing process. 2 days later and it's as good as new. Money well spent.

    Reviewer: John
I used this repair kit on my Gallien Krueger GK 250ML. It was my first speaker foam repair job, so I was a little apprehensive at first, but once I got into it, it turned out to not be that difficult of a task. Everything fit perfectly and the amp now sounds as good as ever.

5 out of 55 out of 55 out of 55 out of 55 out of 5 speaker repair on klipsh pro media 4.1 (2.6.2013)
    Reviewer: jason buker
This repair was pretty easy to do with a little patience. The hardest part was getting the old foam removed. The glue is white but dries clear so mess isn't an issue. These speakers required me to mount the foam on the underside of the paper cone. I applied the glue directly to the new foam surround, paper cone side first then metal basket. I didn't wait 24 hours between cone and basket only about 1 hour. I had to reuse the plastic retaining rings instead of the dense paper ring sent with the kit. The original rings come off very hard be careful not to break during removal. My old pro media kicks like new again.

5 out of 55 out of 55 out of 55 out of 55 out of 5 Re-edging Klipsch subwoofer (3.11.2012)
    Reviewer: Rick
The most difficult part of the job was removing the old foam edging. The new edging went on quite easily following the instructions. The only shortcoming is that the new edging is not quite as large as the original. I could not hear any difference when the speaker was operating.

I spent a good part of 3 months looking for replacement speakers, to no avail. A few weeks ago, I came across this web site and I'm glad I did. It's been 2 weeks now and my klipsch woofer sounds like new. The re-edging process was easy. Thanks, Orange County Speaker.
