Great on Guitars! (8.19.2010)

I was working in the studio with Dave Amato & REO Speedwagon. Did a blind test with a Shure 57 and the ES-57 on Dave's Guitar. For our purposes the ES-57 fit in the track better. That night when I got home I ordered 2 of them from OCS. At that price I should have bought a dozen!
Highly recommended (6.22.2010)

This mic was recommended to my by a studio friend, after I was impressed with the drum sound in a mix he had done. He used this mic on the snare to good effect so I picked one up and am very happy with it so far!
I have read and listen to alot of shootouts between this and a shure sm57.. I wouldnt say that it sounds just like an sm57, it is a bit different .. It has more output than a sm57 and more mids, but its a good creamy kind of mid.. works great on a guitar cab and snare drums.. Havent used it on anything else yet.
