We are offering these New GLS Audio "Generation 4" Gold Locking Banana Plugs at an incredible savings. The new "Generation 4" model has been re-designed to work best with 10 gauge, 12 gauge, 14 gauge, 16 gauge, and 18 gauge wire. The new "Generation 4" plugs use high quality solid "H59-1 Brass" which is 24K gold-plated. The "Generation 4" wall thickness on the back of the plug has been QUADRUPLED! The new thickness is 2.0mm. The old version was 0.5mm. The diameter of the hole on the older version was 9.0mm which worked great for 2 gauge wire, but who uses 2 gauge wire? The new "Generation 4" hole diameter has been re-tooled to 6.5mm. This smaller size works MUCH BETTER for 10 gauge, 12 gauge, and 14 gauge wire. The "Generation 4" version also has longer set screws inside the plug. The longer screws in the "Generation 4" plug hold the wire in place much better than the old version.

As you can see they have the GLS Audio Black Chrome shell, which look stunning! These are REAL GLS Audio "Generation 4" Plugs, not the generic knock-offs floating around. All the generic knock-offs are copies of the "First Generation" GLS Audio plugs. Our new GLS Audio "Generation 4" plugs are VERY Heavy Duty (4 times thicker Brass) and the best Banana Plugs in this style that we have ever seen. The greatest feature of these banana plugs is that they lock into place. We guarantee these are the absolute best banana plugs you will ever buy! Plus we are located in the USA! Why risk having products shipped from a competitor who is in Hong Kong, Japan, the UK, or other countries? Our shipping price is less, shipping time is less, and there is no risk because we are located in the USA!

I've tried many plugs over the years. The locking feature is key. It makes my cables very tight and secure. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!

5 out of 55 out of 55 out of 55 out of 55 out of 5 WBT Killers! - ONLY solution for 12-4 9AWG wire (3.3.2014)
    Reviewer: Peter Cornell
I'm an integrator doing primarily high end home theaters. We use Kimber, AudioQuest and Tributaries with WBT connectors on the front short runs and were looking for a high quality cost economical cable/connector solution for 40 ft+ long runs for up to 9 surround channels. We ended up with Belden 1312A which is a 12-4, low capacitance,175-strand, 99% pure copper wire in a distance marked jacket. It will bi-wire at 4 x 12 AWG and has an effective gauge of 2 x 9 AWG combined. Our only problem was we couldn't find a well made elegant looking product to terminate 9 AWG wire under WBT's at $30+ each. We found the OC Speaker and the GLS locking plugs on a web search and ordered a sample along with several identical looking plugs from other vendors priced between $4 - $16 retail. We assumed they probably all came from the same Chinese factory and were just rebranded at different prices. However, we found the GLS were far superior to the other plugs. They are very heavy and thick walled, with a solid quality feel and two longer threaded internal screws instead of one. They are as well machined as WBT and far superior to anything offered by Monster. The black and red color strips are enameled on, instead of using a colored band or O-ring. The 48-pack comes with extra set screws and a precision micro-electronics screwdriver for convenience if you don't already have one. At $2.50 - $3 each they are a real bargain. The GLS are the ONLY banana plug that cleanly swallow LARGE gauge speaker wire at the back end instead of bare wire poking up through holes in the front (which looks cheap, gives a poor connection and is prone to slipping out when tugged). The rear opening is big enough to take two 12 AWG wires (with jackets) and the central tube easily accommodates 9 AWG strands. We make up the Belden 1312A with 2 layers of Techflex ("Carbon" over "Uptown Gold"), Tributaries wire pants (they are the only boots that handle wire jackets over 12mm diameter), heat shrink and the GLS locking plugs. The combination looks really hot (actually more "high end" expensive than AudioQuest or Kimber 8TC with WBT's) Last year Scott Wilkerson from AVS Forum interviewed Noel Lee (AKA "The Head Monster") on TWIT/HTG about cable designs. He basically said Monster engineers found that 99.99999% "pure copper" or "long Grain crystal" or 'cryogenic treatment" or any of the other typical cable marketing hype made no significant discernible difference in the sound compared to other design factors. So paying $40 to $100+ for ultra pure copper WBT's is a waste of money. Yes, they are German precision engineered and machined to exacting tolerances, but so are the GLS at a fraction of the price. Highly recommended!

    Reviewer: Bud C.
After watching the brief video, I had 5 pairs of these plugs with Teckflex and heat shrink tubing installed in less than an hour. All you need is a pair of wire strippers. The package includes an instrument-size flat-head screwdriver and a couple of extra set screws if you need one. Well thought out packaging at a great price. Finished work looks very professional. Highly recommended!

Can't beat the price anywhere. Other plugs cost 2-3 times as much and aren't even as good.

5 out of 55 out of 55 out of 55 out of 55 out of 5 Which plugs? (7.16.2013)
    Reviewer: Tim Cloud
I tried the Black Chrome first. Loved them. I tried the Locking second. Loved them. Then I tired the Safe-Connect. Loved them too. Which should you buy? They all serve the same purpose, so if price is your issue I'd go with the Black Chrome. And I think I like the look of the Black Chrome the best. The locking are nice because the tip locks into your jack. But, how often is someone going to be pulling on the back of your receiver wires? Probably never. I also like the Safe-Connect because they are shorter. They will fit behind your receiver with a little less space. They don't look as nice (to me) as the Black Chrome. All in all the 3 different models are all GREAT! :)

5 out of 55 out of 55 out of 55 out of 55 out of 5 Awesome plugs at an awesome price! (3.25.2013)
    Reviewer: Andy Avery
I was hunting down banana plugs and found these. I thought they might not be very good quality, but was very surprised when I received them. They are very high quality. The price is unbeatable. Most plugs I was looking at were at least twice as much and some were a ridiculous 10 times as much. Take my word for it, these are great.

I've used WBT in the past costing $35 per plug. The GLS are every bit as good but cost 95% less!

I didn't know this kind of thing existed until I saw them on sale here. I've always wondered why no one else had thought of it, and now I see they they finally have. The only way they could be any better is if they actually screwed or snapped into the binding post.

5 out of 55 out of 55 out of 55 out of 55 out of 5 GLS Banana Plugs are truly AUDIOPHILE!!! (3.12.2011)
    Reviewer: Capny
I have used various brands of banana plugs throughout the years, including a famous brand whose name I will not mention, and I consider myself somewhat experienced with audio accessories. These locking banana plugs have the heft and feel of quality banana plugs, easy to see that they're manufactured with the highest quality control standards. When installing the wire to the cable, I was surprised to see that there are two(2) screws instead of the usual one, giving additional security and strength to the wire connection, as well as a better "electronic" connection. These are serious quality pieces of equipment, worth more than the price of lesser quality competitors offerings, and the locking function adds even more to the mix. Looks wise, they're up there with my best pieces. Recommended. Yes. How recommended? Very, very much. Cheers
