3.5" BT-2 Tweeter for Cerwin Vega replacement. This tweeter is a suitable replacement for many Cerwin Vega models such as the following: Cerwin Vega CS5, CS-5, CS 5, C5G, C5-G, C5 G, C8G, C8-G, C8 G, C86G, C86-G, C86 G, CVCS5, CVHS5, CV-HS5, CV HS5, CV-HS-S5, CVH55, H55 CV-H55, Digital Series, D3, D-3, D8, D-8, D9, D-9, LSH-SA2010, LSHSA2010, U351, U-351, 12TR, 211, 316R, 380SE, 380-SE, Crate PE-10T, Radio Shack Optimus 1000, RadioShack Optimus Series, Rolland KC-350UC, TOA 38-SD, 38SD, 380SD, 380-SD, MX250 and many many more.

The BT-2 magnet is 2.75”. In some cases this is slightly larger than the original Cerwin Vega tweeter. If the magnet is bigger than your hole cutout size then you may need to widen the hole OR you can unscrew the magnet from the tweeter, reach behind the tweeter hole cutout (through the woofer hole) and then screw the magnet back to the plastic horn.

PLEASE NOTE: Vega no longer offers replacement tweeters like this. The BT-2 is a good replacement for all the Vega models. We HIGHLY recommend that you replace them in pairs so they will be matched.

Much better tweeter than the stock one (10.12.2010)

I had a tweeter blow out in one of my Roland KC 300 amps. The suggested tweeter (horn driver) replacement was the MG BT2 3.5" tweeter. I had to blow the mounting hole a little bigger (that was explained as a possibility in the specs). This tweeter is much more powerful than the stock one that came with the amp. I'm in upstate NY and the shipping time was unbelievably fast. I'm on the road 9 months out of the year and need supplies quickly. I've ordered other speakers, horn drivers etc. from Orange County Speaker. Their product description and shipping time is excellent! I have tons of sound equipment (all different brands) for a live show and won't go anywhere else to get my replacement parts. Thanks.

too big for 380 SE's (6.2.2010)

Didn't fit in my old Cerwin-Vega 380 SE's without modification. The frame on these tweeters was too tall to fit between the frames of the two 8" speakers. I was able to score and break the plastic frame on these and make them fit.

Bought two of these and a re-edge kit for my Cerwin Vega D-1's. My CV M-100's have the original tweets and I think them to be the same that were put in the D-1's, so I have a side by side comparison. The MG BT2's sound great but different, more mid and less highs. That could be the difference in crossovers and cabinets so really just a personal observation. I'm running the pairs of speakers next to each other, A and B channels, and together I'm getting one heck of a great sound. In summary, I know everyone prefers original when available. Since they are not these are a great replacement. Buy these speakers!
