    Impedance:  8 ohm
    VC Diameter:  1.75"

These are 8 ohm factory original diaphragms for the Mackie SRM450 and MANY MORE. They have titanium domes with edgewound voice coils and Kapton formers. This diaphragm can be used in the P-Audio model 440, BMD-440, BMD 440, BMD440, BMD-440S, BMD440S, 450, BMD-450, BMD 450, BMD450, BMD-450S, and more. This diaphragm is also used by MANY other manufacturers such as American Audio, B-52, Berhinger, Cerwin Vega, EAW, Gemini, Harbinger, Mackie, Turbosound (Turbo Sound), and more.

PLEASE NOTE: Cabinet and speaker manufacturers such as Berhinger, Mackie, Gemini, and American Audio routinely change driver suppliers and speaker suppliers during manufacturing and retain the same cabinet model number. This means that if you have a Mackie SRM450 or a Gemini GX400 cabinet, it does not guarantee that it carries a BMD-450 driver and a BMD450-8 diaphragm. We highly recommend that you REMOVE AND IDENTIFY YOUR DIAPHRAGM & DRIVER BEFORE ORDERING.

The following is a PARTIAL list of some of the models that this diaphragm is used in:

I had some old Mackie SRM450's with bad HF's. These worked perfect. Now they have life again.

Awesome customer service from these guys! I ordered the part on Friday, and it arrived in Boston by Monday morning. Installed it and tested it - good as new. FYI, my SRM450's were 8 years old before the diaphragm on the horn started cutting out, and they got quite a bit of use in the last two years (6-15 gigs a month) before this part finally gave out, so kudos to Mackie for making quality gear. Word of warning if you do need to make this repair, you will need to buy a 12" phillips screwdriver, as the screws holding the cabinet together are recessed by 8-12" depending on location. You can get one at big box hardware stores for around $10. Also, the screws by the lower part of the side handles are shorter than all the other ones, so make a note of that when you're taking them out. If your Mackies start sounding a little muffled, and you think you need to get the horn worked on, just order this part and do it yourself. It takes a little elbow grease to get all the screws out, but you don't need to have any electronics repair experience to do this once you get the cabinet taken apart.

It was a real pain to get all 20 screws out of the back of that Mackie SRM-450, which took about two hours by hand. By the way, those screws don't have a lot of purchase on them so make sure that you go slow with time. Or at least no what you are doing with an impact drill. Anyways, I looked up a video from the net as to how to install the driver. Wham, bam and thank you man. I used the speaker the next night and really tested the highs. I was impressed and there is something to be said about a brand new tweet. Good price and quick delivery. Thanks

I got one of these for a blown horn on a TurboSound speaker. Before it was blown, it was a crisp, high clarity speaker and with the new diaphragm it sounds just as crisp and clear. Also, I put my order in on Friday morning and received it Monday morning! Thanks for the great service and product.

Just successfully replaced the diaphragm in one of my SRM450's. The diaphragm had blown, ended up doing a little research online and all suggestions pointed to OCS. Located outside of Houston Texas, ordered the part on Monday and received it by mail on Friday. Replaced the part and had the speaker back up and running in no time. Big thanks to the team at OCS.

Very easy to change after finding a screwdriver long enough about 12" to get to ALL of the 18 screws that hold the cabinet together. But after that the job went easy and the speaker sounds great once again.

There's about 20 screws in a SRM-450 (original) and then 4 to remove the unit to replace the diaphragm. I would also recommend taking a piece of plastic or some material that will not leave any residue and cleaning out where the diaphragm sits. Mine was shattered and had remnants all over the place. Once I replaced it with this unit the speaker was as good as new....for a fraction of the cost!
