JBL Speaker Repair (6.30.2010) Reviewer: Kevin Talley (Endicott, NY) I did not receive the exact foam depicted in the pictures advertising 8" JBL Speaker Repair Foam Re-Edge. The foam also was not like that which was original foam on my speaker. However, the foam I received from Orange County Speaker was very easy to install just requiring a little patience to make sure the foam stuck to the cone and then to the speaker frame. The speaker is back in the car and sounds great. I may try this on some speakers I had in college that are currently collecting dust because the foam disintegrated.   JBL Speaker Repair (1.12.2010) Reviewer: Cliff Thuot (Houston, Tx.) I repaired a JBL speaker out of my Toyota Avalon and it worked great. Easy to do. The hardest part was getting the speaker out of and then back into the car. The only suggestion I have is that the instructions should tell you that the domed side of the foam surround goes up. It's not real clear in the instructions. Other than that, it's a snap.   Easy and Inexpensive Fix (1.3.2010) Reviewer: EJ Troxclair (Houston, TX) The kit worked well, with the foam edge fitting perfectly. One added tip to the instructions for removing the old foam would be to soften the old foam with rubbing alcohol to make it easier to scrape off the cone.
